Job Description:

• Ensures the efficient and effective management of the activities carried out by the workshop which includes facilities, plant management, and operational activities.
• Responsible for the day to day supervision of all workshop tasks, with emphasize on planning, preparation, execution and efficiency.
• Manage and control day-to-day production activities to ensure that customer delivery and quality requirements are met within agreed budgets and timescales, providing regular feedback on order status.
• Assist in the maintaining of work procedures Responsible for the smooth running of facilities and plant maintenance.
• Manage the housekeeping and upkeep of plant and machinery, fixtures and workshop premises for efficient and safe operation, material control.
• Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary production theory and practice and provide suitable interpretation to management and staff.
• Be budgetary responsible for the degree of operational responsibility for the position of Work Shop Manager.
• To fulfill responsibilities under the Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policy and so far as reasonably practicable the health, safety and welfare of the team.
• To evaluate and improve the development processes used.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering minimum 6-7 years experience in a similar role worked on large as well as small projects some estimation and planning experience in previous roles Skills.
• Ability to read drawings Computer literate Excellent report writing Proven track record in managing personnel
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
• Strong management skills and Excellent leadership skills
