Ramp Duty Manager

Job Description:

  • Staff planning.
  • To ensure all daily airside activities are in compliance with customer airlines and regulators procedure e.g. DGR checks while loading, ramp inspection and etc.
  • Incidental and accident report generating Responsible for the efficient use of resources to ensure operational performance Ensure enforcement of all company and departmental procedures, including safety and security. Implement methods of maximizing revenue and controlling expenses. Monitor and measure on time performance.
  • Identify areas/individuals which require improvement; Develop and implement methods to increase/improve performance, enhance the work relationship with vendors, ensuring all parties perform their responsibilities properly.
  • Ensure all internal audit requirements are followed and accountable for compliance. Review staffing requirements and schedules for all department employees.
  • Conduct grievance hearings and serve as a grievance hearing officer as required. Interpret the company’s policies in a professional and positive manner to all customers.
  • Assist Directors with Shift Manager interviews and selections.
  • Aid/guide the development of Shift Managers and supervisory staff.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Must have excellent coaching and communication skills with good knowledge of International Ramp activities with its specific safety and security regulations.
  • English speaking environment, additional language knowledge such as Hindi, Arabic and other languages will be added advantage.
  • Possess general knowledge of other airport activities such as passenger’s services, cargo, operations and basic knowledge of Weight & balance.
